Happy Sunday, folks!
I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend filled with tea and cake and Netflix, which is basically what I’ve been doing. But in between binge watching The Gilmore Girls and eating far too much, I managed to create my first writing vlog – woo!
As I explain in the video below, I’d love to start creating some more different types of content to mix things up a little bit, so I’m going to be trying my hand at vlogging for a little while, and maybe even doing a couple of podcasts. The main theme of my vlogs/podcasts will follow on from my blog, so it’ll be a mix of marketing and writing tips, and basically just exploring the journey towards becoming a full time writer (and what that means!). And through it all, I’ll be adding in my own positive messages and inspiration, and generally just trying to share the writerly love – we can do this!
So in today’s vlog, I’m talking about the question “Do nice guys finish last?” and whether or not that’s true when it comes to writing. Should you change who you are, just because someone says they don’t like X,Y,Z about your writing? Not at all! Your stories and your writing are as original as YOU are, and I think that’s fantastic! You can hear my story in the video below and why this is such an important topic for me – don’t forget to comment about your thoughts!
P.S. Enjoyed this? Why not sign up for my brand new newsletter? You’ll get access to all my new vlogs, as well as any other writerly things I think you might like. Included in the welcome email is an adorable puppy photo – what’s not to like?!
